Charles DiSogra, Dr.P.H., M.P.H., heads Abt SRBI’s Advanced Methods Group and is the Chief Survey Scientist for the company.
He has over 20 years of experience in survey research, sample design, data analysis, and administration. Before joining Abt SRBI in 2012, DiSogra was chief statistician and vice president at GfK/Knowledge Networks, Inc (KN). He joined KN from Field Research Corporation in San Francisco, where he served as vice president and senior research director. Previously, he directed a peer-review research grant program for the University of California and was a senior scientist and an associate director at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. At UCLA, he served as the founding director of the California Health Interview Survey, the largest on-going telephone health survey in the country. Previously, he was involved in a number of studies in the United States, including founder and director of the California Cancer Registry’s telephone survey research laboratory, and spent five years in Southeast Asia working in malaria eradication and school health education programs with the U.S. Peace Corps.
He serves as a member of the American Statistical Association, Survey Methods Group; Applied Public Health Statistics Section of the American Public Health Association; and the American Association for Public Opinion Research.
DiSogra holds a B.A. in biology from Marist College, and both a master's degree in public health education and a Dr.P.H. in nutritional epidemiology with an emphasis in biostatistics and policy analysis from the University of California at Berkeley.
